    About the Brunch?

We haven’t had a formal neighborhood gathering since the pre-covid years. Come meet your neighbors and the SCHOA Board and help us define our neighborhood as one with connections, care, and conversation. We’re looking forward to all of us coming together for a brunch to make Sunset Cove a friendly, welcoming neighborhood. This is our chance to enjoy meeting someone new and enjoy a brunch of good food and a great cup of coffee.

Bring your kids and pets, who enjoy a bit of a crowd, and let’s have some fun. The HOA will provide the drinks and quiche. Please bring something to share….scones, coffee cake, fruit or whatever your “go to” brunch dish is.

Other considerations: Please bring a lawn chair for a comfortable seat.

    Please RSVP to bevbothel@gmail.com

    Everyone is welcome!

As most of us know, the recommended tree variety for the parking strips along Washington Boulevard has not been ideal, and a number of lot owners have been asked to hold off tree planting until a new variety could be selected.  So, as a by-product of our 2025 Annual Meeting and the February 2025 Board meeting our Board has developed revised policy/guidelines for owners to follow when updating and maintaining trees and/or groundcover in the parking strip along Washington Blvd. Urban Forestry Services provided (April 2024) analysis and recommendations to improve growth and health of new tree plantings, and the newly approved street tree for Sunset Cove is the Rising Fire American Hornbeam (Carpinas caroliniana ‘Uxbridge’).

A copy of the new Guidelines is posted on the website documents page, or click here to see it now.
